Advocate for change
Together, we can reduce the sexual exploitation of children in our communities. Our advocacy challenge involves not only educating the public about this form of child abuse and its long-term impacts, but also about connecting with people who want to make a difference and encouraging them to take action. It is about pointing out to communities, policymakers, law enforcement, and the media that there are a lot of us who expect everyone to do their part to build safer neighbourhoods.
Here are some opportunities:
- Provide your input in our comments section
- Contact your MLA or MP to discuss the importance of protecting children
- Hold neighbourhood meetings
- Volunteer for the Citizens on Patrol Program
- Write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper
